1:30pm Saturday 15th November 2025, Reigate - Inky Butterflies Workshop
Come & join us for three hours of art and relaxation.
1.30-4.30pm, St Marys Church Centre, Reigate
This workshop is ideal for those who are beginners and those who have some drawing and painting experience.
During the 3 hour workshop, you will have the chance to learn a bit about British butterflies, before sketching your own butterfly from our photo references (or welcome to bring your own), paying special attention to the symmetry of its wings. You will then learn how to add colour freely with brightly coloured inks using a variety of techniques.
The tutor, Hazel Wilks, studied Zoology in South Africa and is a professional botanical artist. She has run many courses and workshops, including at Kew Gardens, The Landmark Arts Centre & The Surrey Wildlife Trust.
We will supply art boards, materials, paper and refreshments.
Welcome to bring your own art materials if preferred.
