Art for Life Summer Exhibition
Our Annual Summer Exhibition is a great opportunity to showcase your work and to see what our artists have been doing across all our classes in Chipstead & Reigate.
❋ Attendance
Please let us know via the Poll in your email whether you can attend. It is important that we have an idea of those exhibiting before the day.
❋ Artwork
In past years, students have exhibited 3-4 pieces of artwork, depending on attendance numbers. We will confirm this as soon as we know how many are planning to exhibit.
Students are welcome to display their chosen artwork in frames, mounts or 'as is.'
Frames can often be purchased cheaply in charity shops, or shops like Ikea, the Range, the Works often have good deals too. But there is no obligation to buy anything extra.
You are also most welcome to attend without exhibiting any artwork, but we really think you should!!
❋ Venue/travel
There is a car park at the venue but spaces are limited. You may want to check nearby roads or car parks, or consider car sharing.
There are a number of car spaces on Chart Lane itself or the nearest car park is Bancroft Multi-storey (around an 8 min walk)
Reigate Station is a 10-15 min walk.
There is step-free access to the hall, which is on the ground floor along with the rest rooms.
More information on the venue can be found here: https://www.reigate-banstead.artforlife.uk/venues
❋ Exhibition Charity
We are pleased to announce that this year we will be supporting Comfort International, chosen by Chantal who has close links to the charity.
https://comfortinternational.org/
We will raise money through donations on the day, artwork sales and through our Arty Bookmark & Postcard sale.
❋ Selling Your Artwork
This year, you are encouraged to sell your beautiful artwork (if you wish). We suggest a £35 maximum price, but you can decide how much to sell each piece for up to this amount.
We will bring in some small 'sales cards' (for you to add your name, price etc...) which you can put up by your masterpieces!
We would love 20% of sales proceeds to go to charity, whether this is our chosen charity for the exhibition, or a charity of your choice.
Any purchases will be made directly between you (the artist) and the buyer.
❋ On the day
All students to arrive by 10:30am to display their artwork. The Art for Life team will be on hand to help.
Any guests to wait in the foyer area until the doors officially open at 11am.
We kindly ask all attendees to stay until the end if possible, so the artwork can remain on display until 12.30pm.
If you have any questions please do speak to us in class or send an email/message.
We look forward to a wonderful celebration to end our Art for Life year!
